Fishers firefighters recently extinguished a garage fire in a Wellington Duplex near 106th St and I-69. 
One resident was home at the time of the fire and was checked out by medics on the scene. The resident was not transported to a medical facility.
Investigators on the scene had not determined a cause at press time.
Fishers firefighters were able to bring out all pets unharmed. Property management and Red Cross are assisting with the family’s needs.
