Mary Ann Haymaker, an Early Intervention Advocate with Hamilton Heights Youth Assistance, and Hamilton Heights School Resource Officer Deputy Josh Ireland, along with volunteers from Aroma United Methodist Church, Angels’ Attic and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, participated in the annual Pack the Cruiser event at the Logan Street Kroger in Noblesville store earlier this month.
Heights’ portion collected was 1,560 pounds of food and $600 in cash and gift cards to be divided between the church and Angels’ Attic. The effort was shared with Noblesville Youth Assistance.
The annual Pack the Cruiser program allows shoppers to purchase items from a supplied food list to support Hamilton County schools’ Summer Meals Programs. The food, gift cards and cash collected during this event will ensure that eligible students will have food to eat for breakfast and lunch while school is out for summer break.
Special thanks to Kroger and all the shoppers for their generous purchases and support of this program.
