Carmel wins urban design award

The City of Carmel was recently honored for the design of the Monon Boulevard Corridor with a Charter Award from the Congress for the New Urbanism at its conference in Louisville. Joining Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard at the podium are renowned urban planner Jeff Speck, Carmel City Engineer Jeremy Kashman, Carmel Deputy Director of Redevelopment Jenell Fairman and Carmel Director of Redevelopment Henry Mestetsky.

    Also joining the Mayor on the podium were William Hall of Crossroad Engineering and Kevin Osburn of Rundell Ernstberger Associates, lead designers for the project.

    Good grief. Why in the world would the lead designer not be credited for this amazing project!
