Westfield Mayor Andy Cook’s Yellow Tie Ball was held on Saturday at the Bridgewater Club. All proceeds from the event went toward the Westfield Youth Assistance Summer Meals Program.

The programs ensures enrolled children receive weekly food distribution during the months of June and July.

“For some children, their only meals for the day are the breakfast and lunch provided by the schools,” program organizers said. “This means that during school breaks, it is possible they will not eat or their meals will be sporadic.”

Westfield Youth Assistance Program and its partners Westfield Washington Township, Student Impact of Westfield, Westfield Washington Schools and Sodexo are working to ensure no child goes hungry during the summer.
