The summer season is very busy around Fishers. With nicer weather, people are anxious to get outside, and the city Parks & Recreation Department is providing plenty of activities this summer season.

The city released a long list of what local residents can do this year during the summer months. Below is a full listing, provided by the City of Fishers:

Fishers Farmers’ Market

8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays through Oct. 26. Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. Free. Rated one of the top farmers’ markets in the region, the Fishers Farmers’ Market presented by IU Health Saxony features your favorite local produce, baked goods, and prepared foods from over 60 full and part-time vendors, now during an extended season at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater! The whole family will enjoy live entertainment, the Farm Hand’s kid’s program, and festive specialty days while stocking up on fresh, local, flavorful foods direct from farmers and producers. Fishing at Flat Fork

1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at Flat Fork Creek Park. Free. Check out one of Fishers’ best fishing holes during this DNR Free Fishing Weekend, featuring knot tying lessons, parking lot trout fishing and more. Fishing poles and bait are provided.

Summer Camps

June 3, Around Fishers. With an array of engaging full and half-day camp programs, Fishers Parks & Recreation summer camps offer opportunities for children to explore exciting and vibrant topics while meeting new friends. Camps focus on art, STEM, fitness and nature programming, and campers will enjoy sessions on coding, cooking, conducting messy science experiments and other fun themes. Splash Pads

Open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Holland Park and Billericay Park. Free. Cool off at the free splash pads at Holland Park (1 Park Drive) and Billericay Park (12690 Promise Road).

Saxony Lake and Beach

Open daily 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free for Fishers residents. Part of Fishers’ diverse parks system, Saxony Lake & Beach (13288 Pennington Road) is open for the summer. The beach is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Aug. 4. Beginning on Aug. 5, the beach will be open on weekends only through Labor Day weekend. Entry is free for residents and $5 for nonresidents. Check the Fishers Parks & Recreation Facebook and Twitter pages for fun beach events hosted by Edge Adventures throughout the summer.

Summer Concert Series

7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning June 4; 8 to 10 p.m. on Fridays beginning June 7. Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. Free. From family favorites to new and exciting sounds, the beloved Fishers Summer Concert Series presented by IU Health Saxony is back for another summer! Monsoon Madness

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 15. at Holland Park. Free. Giant water slides, fun games, and live entertainment combine at one of our most popular events of the summer. Beat the heat and bring your swimsuits and towels as we slip and slide at this luau-themed pop-up waterpark.

Yappy Hour

6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, July 17, Aug. 21 at The Ambassador House. Free. Enjoy the dog days of summer with these paw-sitively fun puppy play dates! Socialize under the tent, walk the paved trails, enjoy live entertainment, and more. Alcohol will be available for purchase. Spark!Fishers

Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 in the Nickel Plate District. Free. The second annual Spark!Fishers festival, ignited by First Internet Bank, returns June 28 and 29 to the Nickel Plate District in the heart of downtown Fishers. The celebration is packed full of family favorites and Independence Day traditions, while showcasing our local veterans, community spirit and what it means to be uniquely Fishers. The Spark!Fishers weekend kicks off at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 28 with a free concert featuring national recording artists Vertical Horizon and Tonic in the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. The festival continues Saturday, June 29 with an all-day celebration honoring our freedom and vibrant community. Events include a 5K Walk/Run, the Fishers Farmers’ Market, a massive street festival featuring local vendors and live entertainment, a patriotic parade and stunning fireworks show to cap off the celebration. Blast on the Bridge

Mud Day

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at Cyntheanne Park. Free. The messiest event of the year is back with a giant mud pit and lots of new and muddy activities, including mud volleyball, tug-of-war, live entertainment and more. Arts Crawl

6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 19 and Aug. 16; 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at Nickel Plate District. Free. Stroll through the Nickel Plate District, recently designated as a Statewide Cultural District, and enjoy local and regional artwork and performances at local business. Fishers Blues Fest
