Sheridan dropped a Monday game to Delphi 13-6 in the Blackhawks’ Senior Night game.
The Oracles scored two runs in the top of the first inning, but Sheridan answered that with four runs in the bottom of the inning. Jake O’Hara sent Steve Smith home on a fielder’s choice, then Kyle Archer tripled in Cameron Hovey and O’Hara. Archer later scored on a wild pitch, making it 4-2.
But Delphi got five runs in the top of the second, and led for the remainder of the game. The ‘Hawks scored their other two runs in the fourth inning; Hovey tripled home Smith, then scored on Sean Speck’s RBI groundout.
Speck finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate.
Sheridan is 9-4 and plays at 5 p.m. today at Tipton.
