Ken Kercheval, who for years played the part of Cliff Barnes on the popular TV series Dallas, died Wednesday at the age of 83. In the long-running primetime soap opera, Barnes was often the victim of J.R. Ewing’s nefarious business dealings.
Kercheval was a Hoosier with ties to Sheridan where he visited relatives many times, most recently at a Kercheval family reunion. He made his home in Clinton, Ind., where he died. He is survived by his widow and three children.
