The Guerin Catholic track and field teams won back-to-back meets this week.
On Tuesday, the Golden Eagles swept Heritage Christian. The girls won a close dual 61-53, with Rose McIntyre placing first in both hurdles events.
Guerin Catholic’s boys dominated, by the score of 105-20. Cameron Murray won the 400 dash and pole vault, while Nick Demas was first in the shot put and discus.

The GC girls scored 83 points, while University scored 36 points. Emma Bock was first in the 100 dash and long jump. The Trailblazers’ Abby Hannon swept the discus and shot put.
Guerin’s boys totaled 107 points, with University scoring 26 points. Demas again swept the discus and shot put, with the Trailblazers’ Lucca Conti winning the 800 run and Noah Laramore pacing the 3200.

Carmel’s girls team dropped a close dual meet to Warren Central 66-57 on Tuesday.
The Greyhounds won six events, including 1-2-3 sweeps of the 1600 and 3200 runs. Alivia Romnaiuk won the 1600 and Brooke Waldal was first in the 3200.
“Warren Central has a great squad, we competed well and had a really good showing against the second ranked team in state,” said Carmel coach Aaron McRill.
