Tigers win Mudsock dual meet

The Fishers boys golf team won the Mudsock meet Tuesday at the Sagamore.
The Tigers carded 161 to Hamilton Southeastern’s 173. Caleb Bopp and Bryce Robertson were co-medalists, each scoring 37. Davey Acres carded a 41, followed by Dylan O’Daniel 46, Will Schade 48 and Connor McMillan 55.
“I was really happy with our kids,” said Fishers coach Keith Andrews. “Conditions were really rough today with the wind. It’s a great golf course. It brings out the best and you have to test your skills on a course like Sagamore. Really happy with how our kids played, especially Bryce and Caleb going one over and shooting 37s today.”
Sam Smith led the Royals with a 40, followed by Daivic Akala 44, Tyler Lacy 44, John Cherry 45, Adam Horner 47 and Mekheil Garcia 49.

Guerin Catholic picked up two dual meet wins this week.
On Monday, the Golden Eagles beat Park Tudor at Pebble Brook 153-179. Ty Gingerich was the medalist with a 37, followed by Connor McNeely 38, Keaton Modleski 39, Ben Burgan 39, Connor Reitz 41 and Jack Sciaudone 46.
Guerin Catholic beat Lebanon Tuesday at Ulen Country Club 155-186. Gingerich again was the medalist with a 37, followed by McNeely 39, Burgan 39, Modleski 40, Bryce Smerek 40 and Andrew White 41.

Hamilton Heights won a Monday dual meet over Frankton 188-213 at Bear Slide.
John Thuer and Garrett James both carded 46s, followed by Price Knowles 47 and Kyle Kirtley 49.

University finished fourth at the Cardinal Ritter Classic on Saturday.
The Trailblazers totaled 360 for their team score. Seniors Thomas Tanselle and Michael Bounsall led UHS with 84s, followed by junior Adam Behringer with 91 and freshman Andrew Dickerson with 101.
