Carmel police, firefighters partner for evening of mental wellness education, information, resources

Please join the Carmel Police Department, Carmel Fire Department and others for an evening of education, networking and information sharing about mental wellness and available resources.

The forum will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 at Orchard Park Elementary School, 10404 Orchard Park Drive South. Attendees will have the opportunity to join the breakout sessions listed below and speak with representatives from a variety of vendors about services they provide.

Breakout sessions will be held on the following topics:

  • 6:30 p.m.: Self-coping Skills Toolbox
  • 6:30 p.m.: The Pill Problem
  • 6:30 p.m.: Domestic Violence and Trauma
  • 7:15 p.m.: Suicide Awareness and Prevention
  • 7:15 p.m.: Mindfulness and Positive Thinking
  • 7:15 p.m.: Human Trafficking

Tickets are not required for this free event, but online registration is respectfully requested so event organizers will know how many people to expect. Please register at carmelcares.eventbrite.com.

Attendees must be at least 18 years old due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter. There will not be any type of child care provided.
