The Indiana Department of Transportation will close lanes of Interstate 465 eastbound and westbound into next week to continue the demolition of the Ditch Road bridge. Only one or two lanes will be closed at a time throughout next week.
Crews began removing part of the bridge deck this week. Next week, the beams will be removed so a full replacement can begin. All work will be completed overnight between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Once crews start to remove the beams, they will stop traffic in 20-minute intervals to lower the beams to the ground and haul them away.
