Noblesville Parks and Recreation introduces new spring programs

Spring has sprung, and Noblesville Parks and Recreation is celebrating with the debut of several exciting new events. From bingo to children’s books, residents of all ages have something to look forward to in the following programs:

Little Debbies and Doughboys

Tuesdays, April 9-23

Reading will come alive for your little ones as they cook the signature foods from all their favorite books over three Tuesday evenings of fun from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. (ages 3 to 5) or 6 to 6:45 p.m. (ages 6 to 8).

In order, the books featured each week include If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, If You Give a Moose a Muffin and The Princess and the Pizza.

The snacks will be chocolate chip cookies, blueberry muffins and mini bagel pizzas, respectively. Cost is $20 per session ($23 for nonresidents). Program will take place at Forest Park Inn. Registration deadline is Friday, April 5.

Mommy and Me Unicorn Party

Saturday, April 13

Looking for some mother-daughter bonding time? Enjoy a relaxing morning of creativity with your 3- to 10-year-old as she decorates unicorn horns, plays unicorn bingo and plants a flower in a planter you can take home. Cost is $20 per pair ($23 nonresidents). Program will run from 1 to 2 p.m. at Forest Park Lodge.

Landscape Design

Thursday, April 25

Learn how to create your perfect garden getaway. This comprehensive course will cover how to assess a landscape, how to match plants to the environment, how to draw schematics and how to use the right plantings to achieve the perfect mood. Cost is $25 ($30 nonresidents). Program will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 209 of the Ivy Tech Recreation Annex (enter through Gate 18).

Mother-Son Fight Night

Friday, April 26

Fathers and daughters may get the princess dance, but that doesn’t mean they have all the fun. Don’t miss an epic night of friendly competition as mothers and sons (ages 6 to 10) battle with Nerf guns, dodgeballs, whipped cream and water balloons. Cost is $20 per pair ($23 nonresidents). Program will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Forest Park Lodge.

Cinco de Mayo Luncheon

Monday, May 6

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo the right way. Attendees of this May social will enjoy a catered lunch from Chipotle as well as bingo with their friends. This event is intended for age 45 and older. Cost is $10 ($12 nonresidents). The program will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Forest Park Inn.
