Carmel’s comeback falls just short

Carmel nearly made a comeback at Lebanon on Wednesday, but the Tigers were able to hold off the Greyhounds by a score of 4-3.
Lebanon scored two runs each in the bottom of the first and fifth innings. Carmel scored all of its runs in the sixth inning. Stormy Kotzelnick got on base with a double, then moved to third on a single by Megan Nichols. Caroline Roop sent a double into right field to score both runners, then was sent home herself by a double from Sarah Goddard. That cut the Tigers’ lead to one run, but they were able to hold on for the win.
The Greyhounds are 1-3 and will next play on April 9, hosting Center Grove.
