Lisco Leonard, Jr., 94, Whitestown, passed away March 16, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospice at Indianapolis.
He was born on September 28, 1924 in Castleton, Ind., to Lisco and Jessie May (Beaver) Leonard.
He was a graduate of Fishers High School with the Class of 1943.
Lisco was a life-long farmer who cared for the land. He was a very social person and his family related that he never met a stranger. He was a member of the Sheridan Lions Club, the Fishers Masonic Lodge No. 533, and the Murat Shrine and the Scottish Rite, both in Indianapolis. He enjoyed watching college basketball and football games and interacting with his great-grandchildren.
He married Martha Jeanette (Clark) Leonard on March 7, 1948. She survives him. Also surviving are three daughters, Donna Leonard, Anderson, Betty Jo Buck, Sheridan, and Sara Moore, Whitestown; three grandchildren, Doug Kolb, Sheridan, Amy Theobald, Union City, Tenn., and Aaron Buck, Fishers; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with burial following at Cicero Cemetery. Visitation was held prior to time of the services.
