As his high school career began to come to an end, Ben and his family searched for a program which would allow him to make choices on what he wanted his life to look like. The family’s search led them to Janus and the Work Experience program which provides opportunities for individuals to explore and develop skills in a work setting which matches their interests.
Local businesses partner with Janus to provide contract manufacturing jobs such as sorting, labeling, packaging and product assembly work which enable Ben and his co-workers to be paid for the work that they complete. Products made by Janus clients through the Work Experience program are sold in retail outlets throughout the country.
It is amazing to see the sense of pride and accomplishment that Ben takes in his work.
When Ben is not busy working, he finds great joy in listening to music, playing basketball, completing puzzles, and going on golf outings with his friends. Everyone can count on Ben’s engaging smile to brighten their day.
