See how St. Vincent helps men in need dress for success

Danny’s Closet of Hope, a St. Vincent program that has fitted more than 5,000 men in business attire (suits, shirts, ties, shoes) for the past 12 years has a new logo, name and mission. The program has been renamed Success Wear to better represent the work and goals of this valuable service in the community.

An open house to celebrate the new Success Wear program will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27 at 9101 Wesleyan Road, Suite 101, Indianapolis.

Success Wear will help provide individuals with male professional attire to acquire employment in addition to opportunities to network with local business leaders.

Success Wear will continue to offer appointments for individuals to be fitted for suits (only scheduled through Success Wear’s referral partners) but is also expanding the program to include career readiness events, high school learning programs, and broadening the program outreach throughout the state. Participants will undergo work-based learning scenarios in which activities in the classroom and workplace will overlap, helping support a smooth transition from education to employment.

Success Wear is more than just looking sharp. The program will empower individuals of all ages to achieve economic independence by equipping them with the professional tools for success, preparing them to thrive in their families and communities. This accomplishment would not be possible without the continual help and donation of others. Whether that be time, clothing or business knowledge, Success Wear would not be around today without the unrivaled dedication of its volunteers and partner programs.

Individuals/groups who would like to donate suits or interested in becoming a potential partner are encouraged to stop by the Open House to learn more about the program. If you would like to talk to a staff member call 317-338-8509 or email successwear@ascension.org.
