Brad DeReamer was first elected to the Fishers City Council in 2015, serving his first term from 2016 to 2019. He serves as City Councilman as well as on the Fishers Plan Commission and Fishers Plat Committee (Chairman).

DeReamer has used his past experience as Hancock County Surveyor (three terms), Plan Commission member for Hancock County and City of Greenfield, the Mayor of Greenfield (2008-2011), and a serial entrepreneur of eight different businesses in the area to provide leadership on the Fishers City Council.
DeReamer moved to Fishers in 2012 and got active in the CITY YES campaign to convert Fishers to a second-class city with a mayor. He says he feels having a mayor is why Fishers is now growing tremendously with many new businesses locating in Fishers to fulfil the vision of a “Smart, Vibrant, Entrepreneurial City.”
DeReamer communicates with his constituents by publishing a monthly newsletter to the Homeowner Associations to keep them informed on what is going on in Fishers. Some accomplishments he has been instrumental in completing in the Northeast District include:
- Working with the Hamilton Southeastern school board and the City to install sidewalks in Avalon on Thames Drive on the west side of Thorpe Creek Elementary and a path on the north side of 126th Street in front of the school for children’s safety.
- Working with the City to commit to install sidewalks on the south side of 126th Street this year.
- Working with the Gray Eagle HOA for over a year on trying to save the Gray Eagle Golf Course from closing.
- Working with Gray Stone and the City to get a “NO OUTLET” sign installed at entrance to subdivision to reduce wasted traffic traveling through their subdivision.
- Working with the City to commit to install a pedestrian crosswalk this spring across Brooks School Road.
- Working for over three years with the City and developer/builder of the Del Webb Britton Falls subdivision to follow the UDO (Uniform Development Ordinance) and the PUD (Planned Unit Development Ordinance).
- Working with County Surveyor Kent Ward to relocate Thorpe Creek along 136th Street to reduce a safety hazard.
- Working with County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt to install an “S” curve to replace an intersection at 136th and Prairie Baptist Road.
DeReamer is a graduate of Purdue University with two degrees and served in the Army Reserves and Indiana National Guard. He has been married to Sharon for 39 years with five kids, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. They live in Britton Falls.
DeReamer says he looks forward to representing the residents of the Northeast District for the next four years.
