GAI Consultants, Inc. – an employee-owned engineering, planning and environmental consulting firm – hosted a complimentary continuing education session on “Practical Design Principles for Affordable Roundabouts” on Wednesday at its Fishers location.

Local municipal project managers, engineers and elected officials from Hamilton County, Westfield and Fishers were in attendance, including Hamilton County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt.
“Everyone at today’s learning webinar were transportation engineers who were there to get continued education credits,” said Heirbrandt. “I attended the session, not because it was mandatory, but to learn more about advancements in roundabout design. As a Commissioner, I am interested in potential designs that may be safer, require less right-of-way and to learn about efficient designs in other communities that have been successful solutions.”
