Bobby C. Harber

March 5, 1936 – February 28, 2019

Bobby C. Harber, 82, Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on March 5, 1936 to Vernon and Viola (Smith) Harber in Pennington Gap, Va.

Bobby worked for Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville and retired after 40 years of service. He also served his country in the U.S. Army. Bobby was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Noblesville where he enjoyed working with the Men’s Group. Bobby also enjoyed traveling, Bible study, and going on fishing trips with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jenean Stewart Harber; daughter, Susan (Steve) Quimby, Indianapolis; brother, Don (Barbara) Harber, Pennington Gap; sisters, Joan Russell, Anderson; Kay (Paul) Helton, Kingsport, Tenn.; and Nancy (Benny) Sergent, Jonesville, Va.; sister-in-law, Diane Slaton, Dallas, Ga.; brother-in-law, JC Taylor, Noblesville; and granddaughters, Lauren Quimby, Chicago; and Kristen Quimby, Kettering, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Russell and David Slaton; sister-in-law, Glenis Taylor; and mother-in-law, Treva Stewart.

At Bob’s request, there will be no public services conducted. Burial will be at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va.
