Golden Eagles get comeback win at Scecina

Guerin Catholic came from behind to win at Scecina on Friday, 55-51.
The Crusaders led 13-9 after the first quarter and 24-18 at halftime. The Golden Eagles began their comeback in the third period, outscoring Scecina 18-11 to take a 36-35 lead. Guerin added 19 points in the fourth on its way to the win.
Bernie McGuinness earned a double-double, scoring 23 points and collecting 10 rebounds. Joseph Bobilya added 12 points, including two 3-pointers, and dished out five assists, with Luke Godfrey also handing out five assists.
The Golden Eagles finished the regular season 13-10 and will host Class 3A Sectional 27 next week. Guerin Catholic plays the first game of the sectional, taking on Crispus Attucks at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
