Huskies overwhelm Peru

Hamilton Heights used its long-range shooting strength to overwhelm Peru 71-44 in a Saturday road game.
The Huskies led 17-8 after the first quarter; AJ Field nailed three 3-pointers on his way to 11 points. It was Issiac Hickok’s turn in the second period, as he made three 3s. Heights led 38-14 at halftime.
Four Huskies reached double figures, with Field scoring 19 points and totaling five 3s. Hickok drained six 3s for 18 points. Hudson Hochstedler added 11 points, and Gus Etchison scored 10.
Etchison and Field both pulled five rebounds. Hochstedler dished out seven assists, Etchison had five assists and five steals, and Cory Vonfeldt handed out four assists.
Heights is 14-7 and hosts Harrison on Tuesday.
