Huskies win easy Senior Night game

Hamilton Heights got an easy Senior Night victory on Saturday, beating Frankfort 78-48 in a home game.
The Huskies led 12-8 after the first quarter, with Kray Leininger scoring six points. Heights then poured in 26 points in the second period to take a 38-20 lead into halftime. AJ Field nailed three 3-pointers on his way to 11 points, with Gus Etchison scoring eight.
Field got even hotter in the third quarter, hitting four more 3s. Field made one more triple in the fourth period, bringing his total to eight 3-pointers for the game; he finished with 32 points.
Etchison scored 16 points and handed out five assists, while Leininger added 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Hudson Hochstedler collected eight rebounds and dished out five assists, while Field pulled five rebounds.
Heights is 12-6 and will host a Hoosier Conference division placement game on Friday. The Huskies finished East Division play in second place, so they will play the West Division’s second place team, either Lafayette Central Catholic or Twin Lakes. Those two teams will play on Tuesday to determine the second place position.
