The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle crash which resulted in the death of an individual early Friday morning. First responders were dispatched to the area of 225th Street and Hinkle Road in northern Hamilton County shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Friday on the report a vehicle inverted approximately 1,000 feet east of the intersection.
The initial crash investigation indicates a 1998 silver Dodge Ram pickup truck was westbound on 225th Street east of Hinkle Road when for unknown reasons it crossed the center line and ran off the roadway into a ditch before rolling onto its roof. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Travis L. Tridle, 32, Cicero, was pinned under the vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
No other people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash and there were no witnesses, so investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash. Per policy, toxicology tests were performed to determine if alcohol or other substances contributed to the fatal crash; however, test results are pending and may take some time to be returned.
