Lilith Weiss and Lucy Hubbell, Advanced Art students from Hamilton Heights Middle School, have been awarded a Gold Key and a Silver Key through the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards at Butler University.

The artwork of these artistically talented eighth-graders will be on display at Clowes Hall from Jan. 30 to March 17.  Weiss’ gold medal work will move on to the National level for judging.

“We are so proud of these young ladies who have demonstrated impressive talent and have been recognized at a higher level for their work,” said Erin Goodman, Hamilton Heights Middle School art teacher.

Since 1923, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards has recognized students across the nation. It is the most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in grades 7 through 12. This program gives thousands of students throughout America the opportunity to broaden their creative horizons while earning local and national recognition.
