Joseph Edward Boone, 81, Noblesville, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on June 4, 1937 to Joseph and Marie (Schutte) Boone in Louisville, Ky.
Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was president and CEO of Regency Electronics, Indianapolis, and CEO of S&S Fire Apparatus, a fire truck manufacturer. Joseph was an avid golfer who was a longtime member of Hillcrest Country Club, where he was also a past club champion. He was awarded a Sagamore of the Wabash and was an honorary sheriff for Marion County. Most of all, Joseph loved spending time with his family. He was a good man who exceeded his obligations and responsibilities.
Joseph is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Gloria Boone; sons, Joe (Jill) Boone, Jeff (Amy) Mulvaney and Craig (Mona) Mulvany; sisters, Marilyn Beam, Sharon Hollkamp and Janet Marlin; grandchildren, Jeffrey Mulvaney Jr., Matthew Mulvaney, Anthony Mulvaney, Allison Boone Barrows, Joseph Evan Boone, Michael Joseph Mulvany and Colin Mulvany; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Zoeller.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by a service at 2 p.m. celebrating his life well lived with faith, love, honor and generosity on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Rev. Msgr. Joseph F. Schaedel will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Cicero Cemetery in Cicero.
