The Noblesville girls basketball team defeated Western 69-37 in their regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at Western High School.
Maddie Knight set a career-high 27 points on a career-high 10 field goals, dished out four assists, and picked up four steals to lead the Millers to victory. Emily Wood added 12 points, Sarah Etchison had 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists, and Mallory Johnson contributed 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists for the Millers.
Noblesville picked up 18 assists and 9 steals as a team and forced 21 Western turnovers, as the Millers ended the regular season 9-13, but were winners six of their last nine games.
The Millers will play Carmel on Tuesday at Hamilton Southeastern in the first round of IHSAA Sectional 8. The game begins at 6 p.m. and single-session tickets will be available at the gate for $6. All-Sessions passes are available for $10.
