Larry Lee Peddicord Jr.

August 8, 1960 – January 19, 2019

Larry Lee Peddicord Jr., 58, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Riverwalk Village. He lost his courageous fight with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Lewy body and Parkinson’s disease. Larry was born on August 8, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the oldest of five siblings. In 1980, he graduated from New Richmond High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army in the Artillery Division in Fort Riley, Kan.

Larry loved life and was very active and outgoing. He loved playing tricks and pranks on everyone around him. Larry was a devoted New Orleans Saints fan and loved the bands KlSS, REO Speedwagon and Rick Springfield. He was an athlete who played softball, soccer and hockey; he also enjoyed white water rafting and bowling. Larry loved coaching his daughter’s soccer teams. He was a school bus driver for many years and enjoyed being around kids and his family. Larry will be truly missed by all that loved and knew him.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Shelly Peddicord; loving fathers, Larry Lee Peddicord Sr., Cincinnati; and John Cook, Fortville; children whom he loved, Alison (Mike) Gates, Hamilton, Ohio; Abigail Melany, Cincinnati; Amber (James) Burdine, Sardinia, Ohio; and Jessica Mole, Noblesville; and his precious grandchildren, Noah Sigel, Michael and Sullivan Gates, and Maria and Jaxon Burdine. Larry was the cherished brother of Alice Maklem, Cincinnati; Brian (Leslie) Douglas, Greenfield; Glenn (Heather) Peddicord, Hebron, Ky.; Katrina (Chris) Clark, Hebron; Melinda Garner, Greenfield; Melanie (Kenny) Morgan, Somerset, Ky.; and Melissa (Wayne) Carmany, Pendleton. Larry left behind several wonderful nieces and nephews, along with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Delores “Dee” Cook; grandparents, Fred and Dorothy Harris, and Donald and Margaret Peddicord; and his nephews, Jonathan and Chad Garner, and Douglas Paulson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the funeral home, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.

ln life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, what it meant to lose you, you will never know but we will always remember, “ln this life, we were loved by you and what a true blessing that is.”
