The Guerin Catholic wrestling team split two meets on Thursday.
The Golden Eagles dropped an all-county meet with Hamilton Heights 61-15. The Huskies won 11 of the 14 matches, with Josh Meyer, Dreiken Dunn, Noah Lawson, Grant Cain and Joe Mayo all getting pins. Bobby Williams won his match by technical fall, while Isaiah Rodriguez was a winner by decision at 106 pounds. Cole Cowan, Caleb Jones, Alex Kraus and Alex Naylor all received forfeits.
Winners for the Golden Eagles were Jon Koscal and Jeff Dunasky, both by fall, and Brayden Hall by a major decision.
Guerin Catholic then defeated Purdue Polytechnic 54-24. The Golden Eagles won 10 matches, forfeiting the other four.
Winning by fall were Luke Tabor, Dunasky, Zach Sutton, Ben Batchelder, Max Fallin and Clay Patton. Koscal and Hall each got decision victories, while Alex Hubbard and Robert Sapienza both received forfeits.
