Join Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard and Dee Thornton of the Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Human Relations as they celebrate the life and impact of American Civil Rights Leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The ceremony will start at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21 at the Tarkington Theater in the Center for the Performing Arts, 3 Center Green, Carmel.
The event will include performances by KJI Institute for the Arts, St. Peters United Church of Christ Choir and Blair Clark, as well as Indiana African American Authors and representatives from the United Negro College Fund on hand to honor Dr. King Jr.’s legacy and achievements.
The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend this free event.
