The Fishers baseball team clinched the school’s first-ever Hoosier Crossroads Conference championship in baseball Thursday by beating Zionsville 13-2.
The Tigers scored seven runs on eight hits to blow the game open in the second inning. Andy Bennett and Caleb Brenczewski both hit two doubles, while Craig Yoho had one. Yoho and Brenczewski both totaled three hits in the game. Brendan Toungate drove in three runs, with Bennett and Yoho each scoring three runs.
Ryan Metz pitched a complete game, improving his record to 5-0 for the season.
