The Carmel boys golf won a loaded Hamilton County meet, which took place Thursday at Pebble Brook.
The fourth-ranked Greyhounds carded a team score of 290. No. 1 Westfield edged out No. 3 Noblesville for second place; both teams shot 296s, with the Shamrocks getting the runner-up position on the fifth-man score. No. 7 Hamilton Southeastern was fourth with 305.
Carmel took the top two individual places. Kevin Stone and Nick Dentino both carded 68s, with Stone winning medalist honors in a playoff.
The Millers had the next two individuals. Clay Merchent fired a 69 to take third place, with Jacob Deakyne shooting 71 for fourth place.
After that was a four-way tie for fifth place. Westfield’s Noah Shanteau and Josh Kehl both had 73s, with Drew Alexander leading HSE with a 73 of his own. Guerin Catholic’s Ty Gingerich also shot a 73.
As a team, Fishers carded 309, while the Golden Eagles scored 311. Shivom Patel and Noah Chamberlin both had 75s for the Tigers.
Hudson Hochstedler led Hamilton Heights with an 89, while Thomas Tanselle was University’s low man with a 91.
