University sailed to an 85-33 win at Muncie Burris on Wednesday, in a game that clinched an undefeated Pioneer Conference North (4-0) division championship for the Class 1A No. 3 Trailblazers.
University led 23-1 at one point in the first quarter, before the Owls came back to 25-10 by the end of the period. The ‘Blazers then led 51-18 at halftime, and eventually landed five players in double figures.
Lily Snyder scored 17 points, nailing three 3-pointers in the process. Lucy Snyder and Jenna Blakley noth added 13 points, with Blakley also hitting three 3s. Brooke Andrus added 12 points and Jhordan McGuire scored 11. Maddi Sears had three 3s for nine points.
With the win, University will play PAAC South champion Greenwood Christian at 2:30 p.m. Saturday for the overall conference championship. But before that, the ‘Blazers will host Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. tonight. University is now 16-1 for the season.
