Guerin Catholic picked up its second consecutive win at the Eagles Nest on Saturday, beating Bishop Luers 74-65.
The Golden Eagles got off to a strong start, leading 25-13 after the first quarter. Guerin led 43-31 at halftime then went ahead 59-42 after three periods; that advantage allowed them to hold off a comeback by the Knights in the fourth quarter.
Bernie McGuinness reached double-double status with 21 points and 11 rebounds; he also had three blocked shots. Kian Sills drained three 3-pointers on his way to 17 points, with Joseph Bobilya hitting two 3s while scoring 11 points. Luke Godfrey collected six rebounds, with Sills and Josh Osborn both corralling five.
The Golden Eagles are 8-5 and will play a Circle City Conference game at Covenant Christian on Friday.
