Lindsey Syrek’s 26 points and 15 rebounds led the Class 1A No. 3 University Trailblazers to a 77-39 win over the Lebanon Tigers Saturday afternoon at The U Center.
Jenna Blakley added 19 points and Brooke Andrus 10 as University improved to 15-1.
The Trailblazers jumped to an early 10-2 lead before six straight Lebanon points pulled the Tigers to within 10-8. Blakley hit the first of her four three pointers on the night to ignite an 18 point University run that stretched five minutes in to the second quarter. University led 31-14 at halftime and cruised home in the second half.
Lily Snyder had eight points, Lucy Snyder six, Maddi Sears five and Jhordan McGuire three to round out University’s scoring.
University is next in action Wednesday night at Muncie Burris in a key Pioneer Conference battle. With a win University will clinch the PAAC North championship and set up a game at Greenwood Christian next Saturday for the PAAC championship A Burris win will give the Owls the PAAC North championship and send University to Bethesda Christian in the third place game.
