Carmel picked up its first Metropolitan Conference win of the season on Friday, cruising past Lawrence Central 72-40 at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Greyhounds led 15-12 after the first quarter, then took control in the second period, scoring 22 points to lead 37-21 at halftime. The ‘Hounds outscored the Bears 35-21 in the second half, going up 54-32 after three quarters.
Four Carmel players reached double figures, led by Reagan Hune’s 21 points. Bridget Dunn hit three 3-pointers on her way to 13 points, Kate Clarke added 11 and Tally Seitz scored 10. Hune collected nine rebounds, with Dunn and Macy Berglund both pulling five.
The Greyhounds are 1-3 in the MIC and 6-7 overall. Carmel hosts Kokomo on Thursday.
