Swimming: Millers and Shamrocks split dual meet

The Noblesville and Westfield swim teams split a Saturday morning dual meet.
In the girls competition, the Millers won 112-73. Noblesville took nine events, including double wins from Sammy Huff in the individual medley and 100 freestyle; Abby Harvey in the 50 free and breaststroke; and Caitlin Marshall in the butterfly and 500 free. The Millers also swept all three relays.
Westfield got wins from Macy Hoaglan in the 200 free, Taylor Jackson in diving and Erin Verbrugge in the backstroke.
In the boys meet, the Shamrocks edged out the Millers 94-91. Westfield won two events, but picked up several second and third place finishes to get the necessary points. Cameron Clayton won the breaststroke, and was part of the Shamrocks’ winning medley relay team, with Noah Brauer, Brett Calvin and Michael Simpson.
Noblesville got wins from Jack Wolfred in the IM and 100 free, Cameron Kramer in the 200 and 500 freestyles, Nick Beeson in the 50 free and backstroke, Jared Newman in diving, Will Huff in the butterfly, and the 200 and 400 free relays.
