University girls win at Bankers Life, stay perfect

The third-ranked Class 1A University Trailblazers improved to 7-0 with a 66-23 Pioneer Conference win over Seton Catholic in the opening game of a girl-boy doubleheader at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Brooke Andrus and Lindsey Syrek had 13 points each and Lily Snyder had 12 at the ‘Blazers jumped to a 10-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game and were never challenged.
University led 15-6 after the first quarter and 35-13 at halftime, forcing 24 Seton Catholic turnovers in the first half.  The ‘Blazers won for the third time in the last four nights as they won their second PAAC North game.
Jhordan McGuire and Hallie Harrison each scored nine points and Jenna Blakely had eight.  Anne Gibboney had two points as all 14 Trailblazers who dressed saw action.
Seton Catholic fell to 1-6.
University is back in action Tuesday night when they travel to the International School for a varsity only contest that tips at 6:00 p.m.
