The Carmel girls basketball team lost to Class 4A defending state champion Warren Central 61-41 Friday in a road Metropolitan Conference game.
The No. 1-ranked Warriors jumped out to a 21-10 lead after one quarter, and slowly increased their advantage from there, going up 33-19 at halftime. Bridget Dunn had a double-double for Carmel, with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Macy Berglund collected six rebounds, while Reagan Hune cleared four rebounds. Kate Clarke blocked three shots.
The Greyhounds are 0-2 in the MIC and 3-5 overall. Carmel plays at Westfield on Tuesday.
