Sheridan finished as runner-up at the Triton Invitational on Saturday.
The Blackhawks beat the host Trojans 35-24 in their first game. Sheridan was down 9-4 after the first quarter, but came back to tie the game at 12-12 by halftime, then cruised through the second half.
Olivia Raines and Heather Barker both scored nine points, with Jillian O’Flaherty hitting two 3-pointers for six points.
In the championship game, the ‘Hawks lost to Lakeland 54-40. The Lakers led 33-17 at halftime, then were ahead 52-29 after three quarters. Sheridan outscored Lakeland 11-2 in the fourth, but the Lakers’ lead was too much to overcome.
Raines and Barker each scored eight points for the Blackhawks, with Raines pulling six rebounds and Barker making four steals. Taylor Bates collected five rebounds.
Sheridan is now 3-2 and will host Frankfort on Wednesday.
