On Tuesday, Nov. 27, the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville will be participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that encourages and celebrates philanthropy worldwide.
The Club will host a campaign to search for 100 Helping Heroes and will be selling hearts throughout the day numbered 1 to 100, each valued at the corresponding dollar amount. All donations from each heart purchased will be matched by George and Linda Kristo, which will total $5,050.
“George has always been a champion and hero for the youth of community, and he continues to leave a lasting legacy,” said BGCN Executive Director, Becky Terry. “At the Club’s first ever Topgolf Tournament two weeks ago, we were able to kick off the campaign a little early and sell over 30 hearts and raise over $1,000 towards our goal of $10,100.”
A social media campaign will take place throughout the day to update the public and supporters on the Club’s campaign. Donors are asked to choose a number of significance, notify the Club of their choice, and make that donation by calling the Club, dropping off a donation or donating online. For those interested in becoming one of the 100 Helping Heroes, visit the Club’s Facebook page or visit BGCNI.org.
