University kept rolling on Tuesday with another easy victory.
The Class 1A No. 3 Trailblazers cruised past Brebeuf Jesuit 67-23 at the Braves’ gym. Brebeuf led 5-4 during the first quarter, but that’s when University started a 26-0 run that lasted 11 minutes and 38 seconds, going well into the second quarter. At the end, the ‘Blazers led 30-5. University held the Braves without a field goal for 15 minutes during one stretch.
Jhordan McGuire nearly outscored Brebeuf all by herself. She had a career-high 21 points, including 10 in the first quarter. Lindsey Syrek added 15 points, while Lucy Snyder scored 10.
The Trailblazers are 4-0 and host Bethesda Christian next Tuesday in a varsity-only game.
