Swimming: Royals sweep Millers in both teams’ first meet

The Hamilton Southeastern swim team swept Noblesville in a dual meet Tuesday that served as the season-opener for both teams.
In the girls meet, the Royals won 110-76. Southeastern took seven events, with Molly Pedersen a double individual winner in the 200 and 100 freestyles. Ashley Sinicropi won diving, while Abby Harter was first in the backstroke. The Royals won all three relays.
The Millers got a double win from Sammy Huff in the individual medley and the breaststroke. Abby Harvey was first in the 50 free, Caitlin Marshall paced the butterfly and Tina Berger won the 500 free.
In the boys meet, Southeastern won 129-57. The Royals got nine event wins, including two from DJ Rogers in the 50 free and 100 breaststroke. Other individual HSE winners were Blake Ratliff in the 200 free, Nathan Barr in diving, Connor Harrison in the butterfly and Ethan Forbes in the backstroke. Southeastern won all three relays.
Noblesville’s Cameron Kramer was a double winner in the IM and 500 free, with Jack Wolfred pacing the 100 free.
