Help give Noblesville kids a great Christmas

For the third year in a row, downtown Noblesville merchants will participate in “Stuff Your Stocking” in support of local families needing a little help during the holidays. The event takes place during Noblesville Main Street’s “First Friday” from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 in downtown Noblesville.

By purchasing a $15 Christmas stocking, shoppers can stop in during First Friday to visit participating merchants and collect fun treats and toys for children to “stuff” into their stockings. Families also are encouraged to buy an extra stocking to “stuff” and donate for a child in need. Proceeds from the one-night event organized by Noblesville Youth Assistance go to fund gifts, food and other holiday expenses that some families struggle to afford.

All year round, the non-profit’s early intervention advocates coordinate these resources and more for local children ages 3 to 17, providing food and clothing, tutoring and mentoring, mental health counseling and recreational opportunities. In 2018, NYA and its partners served 9,600 summer lunches to children in Noblesville who otherwise might not know where their next meal was coming from.

“Stuff Your Stocking” tickets are limited and should be purchased in advance while supplies last. Click here to purchase tickets.

In addition to this opportunity to give back to the community, participants are invited to dine in downtown and enjoy all the festivities of Noblesville Main Street’s ”First Friday” to include Santa Claus, carolers, hot chocolate and more. Free trolley rides are available to take visitors around downtown and to the Ice Plaza at Federal Hill Commons for ice skating and other activities provided by Noblesville Parks and Recreation.
