Carmel used a second-half rally to upset Class 4A No. 10 Zionsville 46-44 Tuesday night at the Eagles’ gym.
Zionsville led 11-7 after the first quarter and 27-20 at half. The Greyhounds worked their way back to tie the game 34-34 after three periods before surging ahead late in the fourth.
Carmel had balanced scoring: Macy Berglund led the way with 12 points, followed by Kate Clarke’s 10. Reagan Hune added eight points, while Bridget Dunn contributed seven points and led the rebounding with five. Hune and Clarke both blocked two shots.
The ‘Hounds are 2-2 for the season. Carmel’s next game is next Tuesday at Noblesville.
