This past Sunday, Nickel Plate Express hosted 60 veterans and their families aboard the Veteran Express in Atlanta. Any U.S. veteran received a free ticket to take a one hour and 15 minute ride through the northern Hamilton County countryside.
“It was an honor to host veterans and their families on the train,” said Nickel Plate Express Communications Coordinator Dagny Zupin. “Everyone was so friendly and appreciative … we even had a few veterans who said it was their first train ride!”
