Janus President/CEO Chris Sorensen was honored with the 2018 Ignite the Torch Non-Profit Achievement Award presented by the Pass the Torch for Women Foundation at a recent awards event in Indianapolis. The Foundation has created a community of women and men committed to supporting women throughout their career lifestyles, from college students to emerging leaders to top executives. This community comes together to provide mentoring and network opportunities to help women reach their full potential.
As President/CEO, Chris continues to lead Janus as the non-profit agency prepares to celebrate its 40th year of creating life opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The programs and services provided by Janus focus on the acquisition of crucial life skills, employment in the community, improving literacy skills and so many more opportunities which empower participants to live more independent and self-fulfilled lives.
