Here are road construction updates for the week as the City of Carmel continues to invest in its infrastructure.
Motorists should always pay close attention to traffic control, orange barrels, special signage and detour routes posted for these projects. Carmel Drive and City Center Drive – This new roundabout project at the intersection of Carmel Drive and City Center Drive will begin today. This intersection will be closed for approximately 45 days. Businesses in the area will remain open and motorists can use Adams Street as a detour.
Lake Shore Drive – A culvert project got underway Tuesday, May 2, and will result in a closure of Lake Shore Drive south of 106th Street. Local traffic detour through neighborhood streets.
Spring Mill Road at Main Street – Work on Spring Mill Road continues until fall. Spring Mill will be closed south of the Main Street roundabout from Main Street to 116th Street, except for local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to use Illinois Street as a detour.
