Wendy Kay Forbush

August 21, 1966 – October 27, 2018

Wendy Kay Forbush, 52, passed away peacefully at home in Westfield on Saturday evening, October 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and her care givers. Born August 21, 1966 in Noblesville, she was the daughter of Kenneth D. “Kenny” and Jane (Laignel) Forbush. Wendy was a 1984 graduate of Sheridan High School and worked for Biddle Manufacturing for over 20 years.

Family played a very significant role in her life. If Wendy was going to do something, you better believe someone in the family was gonna be riding shotgun right along beside her. Traveling definitely fit the bill in that regard. Wendy and her mom always found a new place, or sometimes an old place they had already been, to go on one of their mini trips. It honestly never mattered, when they hit the road, being on a tip with mom was all she really cared about. One of her favorite places to go was Tennessee – Wendy just loved it down there. Traveling also lent itself to another activity that’s never fun unless you are with the friends and family, and that is finding great places to eat – the little hole in the wall places were always the best. The list of family activities the Wendy loved would not be complete without mentioning sales. Yard, garage, barn, estate – it really didn’t matter what you called it, the Queen of Garage Sales could sniff ’em out no matter where they were at. She also enjoyed just sitting around with the people she loved the most, watching her Colts and Cowboys play on TV.

Wendy is survived by her mother, Jane Forbush, Byrdstown, Tenn.; her two wonderful daughters, Danielle Vandervort and Jordan Vendervort, both of Westfield; three grandchildren, Brayden Pierce, Zander Reynolds and Sophia Vendervort; and her brother, Dave Forbush, Byrdstown, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenny Forbush; and by her canine BFF, Miley.

Wendy’s family would like to extend a very heartfelt Thank You to wonderful nurses and staff at Transitions Hospice for their dedication, professionalism and their loving care.
