The Noblesville baseball team split a pair of games with Louisville’s St. Xavier on Saturday.
The Millers won the first game 4-3, after getting out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Alex Cleverly hit a triple for Noblesville, with Mark Goudy and Cooper Miles each getting doubles. Reese Sharp pitched five innings for the win, while Clay Holzworth threw the other two to get the save.
Noblesville fell to St. Xavier 15-5 in six innings in the second game. St. Xavier scored nine runs in the first inning, and ended the game with three runs in the sixth.
Goudy had two hits for the Millers, with DJ Owens hitting a triple.
