Riverview Health received the highest grade in patient safety by the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization driving a movement for giant leaps forward in the quality and safety of American healthcare.
“Being awarded with a grade A by Leapfrog Group reflects the high standards we set when it comes patient care and more importantly the hardworking team we have in place that make it all possible,” said Joyce Wood, chief nursing officer and vice president of Organizational Improvement.
Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses national performance measures and is becoming the gold standard measure of patient safety. These performance measures produce a single letter grade representing a hospital’s overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade methodology has been peer reviewed and published in the Journal of Patient Safety.
